Opened in 2013, Vincera Surgery Center is a Medicare and AAAHC accredited ambulatory surgery center. The facility is 10,000 square foot state-of-the-art multi-specialty facility. It is specifically designed for outpatient procedures with four well-equipped operating rooms and one minor procedure room. The patient-friendly design of the surgery center ensures optimum flow and maximum privacy.

As a multi-specialty facility, Vincera provides same-day surgeries at a reasonable cost and savings to patients and private and commercial payers. Outpatient surgery requires less time, allowing patients to return to their families and work schedules faster. Before Surgery

Patient Registration Forms

The documents below provide important information about your rights as a patient and the surgery center. Please review carefully prior to your procedure date. If you have any questions, please contact the center.

The instructions below are provided to patients as general guidelines. Your physician may also provide instructions specific to the procedure being performed. Contact the center with any questions.

What to do Before Surgery…

  • Notify your surgeon before coming to the center if there is any change in your physical condition, such as a cold, fever, or a wound near your surgery site.
  • Your doctor will advise you of any tests that may need to be performed by your primary care physician prior to surgery.
  • A member of the surgical center staff will call you a day prior to your surgery to obtain health and registration information, answer any questions you may have, and give your arrival time.
  • If you are undergoing anesthesia, do not eat or drink anything after midnight on the day of your surgery.
  • Unless instructed by your physician, do not take any medication after midnight the day of your surgery. Please note: If you are on blood pressure or heart medication, or if you are a diabetic, obtain specific instructions from your physician.

Day Of Surgery

The instructions below are provided to patients as general guidelines. Your physician may also provide instructions specific to the procedure being performed. Contact the center with any questions.

What to do the Day of Surgery …

  • It is your responsibility to make advance arrangements for a responsible adult to drive you home and remain with you for the first 24 hours after surgery. You may not drive yourself, be left alone, or leave the facility in public transportation unless accompanied by an adult. Failure to meet these guidelines could result in the cancellation of your procedure.
  • Please bring your insurance card with you and a form of photo identification.
  • If you wear contact lenses or glasses, bring a case for their safe keeping. We provide containers for removable dentures and bridgework.
  • Please shower or bathe prior to your surgery.
  • Wear casual and comfortable clothing and shoes. Wear something that is easy to change and will allow for bandages following surgery.
  • You will be provided with a patient gown.
  • Leave jewelry and other valuables at home.
  • Please bring a list of prescription medications you are currently taking.
  • Please be aware you will be required to sign a consent form for your surgery.
  • Your family may wait with you before your surgery and visit after you have woken from Anesthesia.
  • Parents/guardians of minor patients must remain in the surgery center during the patient’s entire stay.
  • Please bring any paperwork you may have received from your surgeon’s office. Please complete any paperwork prior to arrival.
  • If you hold power of attorney or guardianship over a patient, you MUST bring a copy of a durable medical POA or Guardianship papers in order to sign consents for that patient.

Post-Operative

What to do After Surgery...

  • It is your responsibility to make advance arrangements for a responsible adult to drive you home and remain with you for the first 24 hours after surgery. You may not drive yourself, be left alone, or leave the facility in public transportation unless accompanied by an adult.
  • You will receive written instructions for your care that may include activity, medication, diet and rest. Contact your physician if you have any questions or problems.
  • Plan to be in a recovery area for 45 minutes to 2 hours following surgery.
  • Do not drive, smoke, drink alcoholic beverages or operate machinery for 24 hours, or sign important papers following surgery.
  • A nurse will contact you the next working day to check your status.

Insurance Information

Our business office will contact you regarding your insurance coverage and expected charges. Generally, all insurance carriers, including Medicare, reimburse outpatient centers just as they would other health facilities. Vincera Surgery Center participates with the following insurances:

You're financial responsibility at the time of service will be any deductible and/or co-insurance. You will be billed for any services not covered by your insurance plan. As a courtesy to you, we will bill your insurance. Not included are fees for your physician and anesthesia services, laboratory fees, pathology, or other tests which may be ordered by your physician. Those fees are submitted separately.

Charges for cases not fully covered by insurance must be paid in full at the time of the service. Vincera Surgery Center will assist you in filing insurance claims. We will accept a personal check, cash, and certain credit cards, including Visa and Master Card.
