
Dr. Roedl is a board certified and fellowship trained Interventional Musculoskeletal Radiologist who specializes in diagnosing and treating sports-related injuries. He is a Full Professor at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in the Musculoskeletal Division and also practices at the Vincera Institute.
Dr. Roedl cares for both professional and everyday athletes and currently serves as a team physician for Philadelphia’s professional sports teams, including the Eagles, Phillies, Flyers, and 76ers. He performs the image-guided procedures—such as platelet-rich plasma (PRP) injections—for all four teams.
Dr. Roedl focuses on MRI and musculoskeletal (MSK) ultrasound for diagnosing orthopedic injuries from head to toe. He treats tendon, muscle, joint, and nerve conditions with ultrasound-guided, minimally invasive procedures. He has extensive experience in regenerative sports medicine, including injections of Biologics such as PRP or bone marrow aspirate concentrate (BMAC).
Dr. Roedl earned his medical degree in Germany and completed his medical training at Massachusetts General Hospital, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (Harvard Medical School) in Boston and Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia.
